Ultrathin sections are prepared using a <b>diamond knife<\/b>. Ultrathin sections, deposited on copper grids covered by a formvar membrane are used for examination of the samples in electron microscope.<\/p>\n<p><b> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-597 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/confolab.sav.sk\/ovsb\/wp-content\/uploads\/mikrotom-768x252.png\" alt=\"mikrotom\" width=\"708\" height=\"231\" \/><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Perfusion apparatus for <b>chemical fixation of isolated working heart <\/b>of experimental animals (rat, mouse) consists of three perfusion columns. Column #1 is filled with physiological saline and serves for removing blood from the working heart; column#2, containing calcium-free physiological saline is used for relaxation of the myocardium; and column #3 filled by fixation solution ensures prefixation of the whole myocardium.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-603\" src=\"http:\/\/confolab.sav.sk\/ovsb\/wp-content\/uploads\/perfuzia-300x210.png\" alt=\"perfuzia\"  width=\"184\" height=\"129\" \/>Perfusion apparatus for <b>isolation of cardiac myocytes  <\/b>from the left ventricle of the heart consists of three perfusion columns. Column #1 is filled with physiological saline and serves for removing blood from the working heart; column #2, containing calcium-free physiological saline is used for relaxation of the myocardium; and column #3 filled by enzyme solution serves for separation of individual cells.<\/p>\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"72%\">The vibratome is used for preparation of slices from live tissue.
